WatchLater helps you save and organize movies and TV series. This policy explains what information the app uses and why.

Information you provide

The app may store titles you save, watch status, notes, collections, reminders, preferences, and account details you choose to provide, such as your display name or Sign in with Apple profile details.

Import and search data

When you use smart import, voice search, OCR, or share extension features, the app may process shared text, links, screenshots, recognized text, and search prompts to find matching movie or TV metadata.

Third-party services

WatchLater uses TMDb for movie and TV metadata. Smart import and AI-powered search may route prompts through Formevo-controlled backend services before contacting AI providers. These requests are used to provide the requested feature and protect usage limits.

Device security

The app may use Apple App Attest or similar platform checks to reduce abuse of backend services. These checks help verify that requests come from a legitimate app installation.

Data storage

Your watchlist data is stored on your device using Apple platform storage. Shared extension data may be stored in the app group container so the main app and extension can work together.
